On July 20th English footballer Kevin Keegan passed away. He was suffering from cancer for a while, that news was released earlier this year. The only two time ballon d’or winner from the UK! You can see some highlights below. Also the first english footballer that made a remarkable transfer to the Bundesliga in the late seventies from Liverpool to HSV!
This recollection moves me because I clearly remember that he played in the Bundesliga, oddly enough. Back then my dad would watch german TV on saturday afternoon to watch german football and for some reason I very much remember Keegan. I don’t have a lot of recollections from my childhood, but for some reason this I do remember.
