The Wicked Messenger

As you can see on my raptr profile, I have regularly been playing LOL again ! Mainly Blitzcrank for some odd reason, I find him quite a lot of fun to play. It never gets old to pull someone to your tower . But it’s been a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I have awesome games with him, other times I fail miserably. Probably also has a lot to do with teammates.

My last game tonight was with Heimerdinger again. He is once again a ‘weekly’ champ.

I have also saved up about 6300 points again, but can’t quite make up my mind which champion to buy. I really liked Renekton when I played him in a week that he was free. Galio is tempting too, but not very easy to play. Or maybe Rammus for 3100 to start off ? Decisions Decisions .

The EU lol server is in a bad state. And since the queue is introduced it’s even getting worse. Games don’t even start and you get a leave once you close the client after waiting 10 mins after champion selection.

So I haven’t been playing a lot. Not because I didn’t want to, but because the server crapped out in one way or another. It’s a sad state of affairs for such a nice game.

A new somwhat controversial patch and yet another new hero. I haven’t played that much, about a game a day, with a day off here and there and I didn’t even meet the previous new one, except for one game. Caitlyn turned out to be pretty weak, except maybe for the early game, so I am holding off on spending any Riot Points on new heroes and wait until theyre free so you can try them out.

The whole mana regen runes nerf seems a bit odd. It looks like bad pr to nerf something people have paid money for. I think it would have been better to address the issue in another way. Also Riot said in a video that it was to close to gap between people that have said runes and people who don’t. Uhm huh ? Then what’s the point really, if they don’t give you an edge ?

We’ll see how it pans out, now the patch is released.

Already tried one match with Nidalee, seems to be quite interesting. She is a druid type that can switch to a cat form. Her q is very nice especially early game. The heal is handy. Didn’t see too much of the traps as I didn’t place them very well I guess and the game I tested her in was a one sided roflstomp as the other guys had 2 leavers .

Heimerdinger is nice to be able to play again. Glad I didn’t buy him yet as he is free quite often it seems. Also would love to try out Cho’Gath, Urgot and Twisted Fate. Haven’t really looked into Poppy !

Caitlyn enters the Great Hall with a series of whirs and clicks, as the lenses extending down from her hat adjust to allow her to study the space in meticulous detail. She has a long rifle slung over her shoulder, and she bears its weight so comfortably one would doubt she’s ever without it. Her ensemble is as alive with the activity of gears as it is revealing, both facets competing for attention.

Looking forward to getting this new hero, although you’d probably have to rush to the champion selection screen to try her out. The abilities seem interesting, will be watching Mobafire with a keen eye to see whether there are any good new builds !

Had a lot of fun in my first game with Kog’Maw, although I died a bit too often. Then I tried Gragas and got roflstomped . Didn’t really enjoy playing him much tbh, I guess he’s not my cup of tea. Already have Sivir and played a bit with Ryze before, who is decent but not as fun as some of thee others. Shen I have already too.

Tried Veigar past week. Man is he squishy. And I am usually a bit too overconfident, so not really fitting my playstyle at the moment .

Had a few great games with Heimerdinger again. The opponents getting a bit frustrated with the turrets and the bombs ! Some mixed results with Cassiopea, the harrass can be pretty cool, but also a bit squishy. In a good team she can shine though.

Will try a few games this weekend with Olaf when he is not already taken. Berserker champ should be interesting !

Heimerdinger is back and that’s nice. Only game I won today (1-3) I played him Cassiopeia is fun, played her twice, but a bit fragile. Once jumped upon I had a hard time running away.

I am making a shortlist of champs I’d like to own in the future, Heimerdinger is one of them, but he seems to be in the rotation quite often. Really like Blitzkrank and Annivia from last week. Miss Fortune was kinda fun as well. I did pick up Janna, she’s cheap and welcome in any team I would think.

Here is the list of champions available in this week’s rotation (Season One – Week 24):

So far I have tried Anivia and Miss Fortune. Anivia was fun to play, but Miss Fortune even more. Who doesn’t like guns ? Her damage output is excellent, but you also seem to have a bit target sign painted on you, as everybody tries to kill you first. I might try out some of the others, I already have Sivir.
